Our Story

We have been delivering traditional PABX systems for over a decade now. When  in 2007  we recognised  that VOIP was an important future technology, we started building a Cloud VOIP PABX.

The project was a dismal failure – the New Zealand VOIP industry was too immature. VOIP quality and reliability were not good enough. The project was shut down.

Unwilling to fail, we tried again in 2008.  It was a large  high-risk investment  into unknown technology and this time we were successful. The Netfone brand was born.

That year we rolled out a 35-handset Cloud PABX for our foundation customer – a quasi-government department with five branch offices throughout New Zealand.

Our customer was cooperative and patient, as we refined systems. They remain an important and happy customer to this day and you can read their story in the “Case Studies” section.

The Netfone Cloud VOIP platform has come a long way in the last three years and has developed into a stable reliable system that continues to grow at a rapid pace.

We deliver Netfone to partner  IT companies allowing them to expand into this dynamic  fast-growing space.
